Notebook instructions
- Students should use single line, soft cover notebooks. Notebooks should be neatly covered with dark brown plastic cover.
- Name, class, section, subject and roll number should be neatly and legibly written on the cover page and also on the index page, at the space provided.
- Should draw a margin of 1 cm. with pencil at the right side of every page, beforehand.
- Should write HW. /CW. at the left corner of the page according to the work.
- Should write the date and page number in the space provided.
- Should write the chapter number and name at the top centre with a black ink and it should be underlined with a pencil. Nothing should be written on the top margin line (red line). A new chapter should start on a fresh page.
- Nothing should be written on the back side of the index page. Work must start the on the page adjoining the index sheet.
- Date, Title, Page No etc. should be entered in the index page and the signature of the teacher to be obtained.
- Students should use the black ink for writing the question, question number, topics etc. and must write the answers with blue ink
- Students should be provided with a fountain pen/gel pen for writing purpose. Ball pens are not be allowed in the school.
- Should leave a line between every question-answer and draw a full line with a pencil after completing every answer.
- There should be proper spacing between the words. Too many words should not be written in a line.
- Make sure that the structure of the sentence is correct and there are no grammatical errors. Punctuation marks and capital letters should be used at the correct places (beginning of the sentence, proper nouns, I etc.).
- Should start the sentence from the left margin without leaving any space.
- When changing the paragraphs, a line should be left and the next paragraph should begin from the left margin of line.
- Question numbers, answer numbers and sub-points should be written inside the left margin.
- Should use cursive form of writing.
- Uncovered notebooks will not be corrected.
- Scribbling on the last page will not be allowed.
- Diagrams, graph, map-work etc. must be done using pencil.
- Students should not write the notes of one particular subject in any other notebook. In case of unavailability of the subject notebook, work should be done in the rough notebook which later should be copied.
- The notebooks should be submitted on the date assigned. Note books submitted late (on a regular basis) will not be corrected. Also, it will affect the notebook marks awarded during the term end examinations.
- Parents should regularly check the diary and the notebooks of their wards.
Appropriate actions must be taken against the remarks given.
- The written work must be neat and legible. Untidy notebooks will not be corrected and the student will have to rewrite the same work.
- Retest will not be taken for the absentees. Average marks will be given to the genuine cases.
- Marks will be deducted for not bringing or uncovered test copies.
- Students should draw a rough work column on the right hand side of their Mathematics note book.
- Parents should review the spelling errors made by the students and adopt corrective measures.
- Students should inculcate writing the answers in their own words as far as possible.
- In case the student is absent, it is the responsibility of the parents/student to complete the pending work within three days and get it corrected by the teacher.

Uniform and Overall Appearance of the Child
We would like to inform you that we have decided to lay extra emphasis on the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of our students from next session (April-2020). Please refer to the school diary and pay attention to the following points in particular.
1. Uniform - We don't mind you buying the fabric (cloth) for the uniform from a shop of your choice as long as the colour and shade are right. Kindly ensure the following also.
- The uniform must be well-fitting (neither too large nor too small) and the child should look smart in it.
- The shirt and trousers/skirt should be washed as often as needed, so they
Look neat and clean. It is desirable for each student to have two sets of regular uniform, in Addition to the PT uniform.
- Boys' trousers must not be low-waist, narrow-bottom, or tight-fitting (drainpipes).
- Girls' skirts must have normal pleats and be without a divider.
- The shirt and trousers/skirt should be well-ironed (and not crushed or crumpled).
- The shirt, for both boys and girls, is supposed to be half-sleeve and full sleeve in winter
- Shoes must be formal, black, leather shoes/School shoes which must be polished every day, and the child must not wear shoes that are torn or battered. Also, the child must wear fresh socks every morning (of the type specified, and not just any socks)
- All the other details of the uniform-such as tie (only in winter), belt, house emblem, I-card, etc. must also be taken care of.
- The child must wear the right uniform for the day. Classes I to X: regular uniform (PT uniform: Wednesday & Saturday).
- Innerwear (undergarments) must be changed everyday.
- Bicycle shorts are compulsory for girls.
2. Hair - for boys: clean, short and conventional-cut for girls: either short hair with a black hair-band or long hair that is plaited and fastened with a black band.
3. Facial hair (beard/moustache)- the face should be clean- shaven or at least bear a well-trimmed look, and not have a shabby, untidy appearance.
4. Nails- Both fingernails and toenails must be cut/clipped at least once a week and the child must not have long, dirty nails.
5. Oral hygiene - The child must brush their teeth and clean their tongue in a proper manner every morning before coming to school.
6. Daily bath- Please see that the child has a bath every morning ( at least in the summer months) before they come to school.
7. Sanitary Pads- for Girls: sanitary napkins are available in the reception. You can also contact to the lady teachers. Parents (Mothers) kindly guide/educate the girl child about the proper use and disposal sanitary pads and other hygienic habits.
The idea, as you must have gathered, is to make sure that our students look well groomed, neat and clean, dapper and smart, in keeping with the reputation of the school.
Please note that to ensure compliance with the above norms we are also going to put in place rewards and punishments, the details of which will be intimated to you soon.
